Perry Rotary Presents 91st Show

The Perry Rotary Club is busy preparing for its 91st Annual Rotary Show which will take place on Monday and Tuesday evenings November 6 & 7 at 7 pm at the Perry High School Auditorium. The annual production comes packed with a variety of talent, music, and funny skits which are scripted and performed by Perry Rotarians.  This show kicks off Perry Rotary’s 100th birthday year which is certainly something for our community to celebrate!

The proceeds of the Show will benefit the many community projects and community-serving organizations that Rotary has been accustomed to supporting for many decades.  The list is long and the funds donated for the betterment of our community and the world is in the hundreds of thousands of dollars.

The theme of this year’s show is “Winning With Rotary.”  Several skits will be takeoffs on various favorite TV game shows.   The show starts at 7 pm both evenings but you will definitely want to come early to get a good seat and treat yourself to the pre-show music of Eric Kelly and Company.  During this time will be a tribute to long time Rotarian and Community Leader, Sally “Sarah” Bliss, who recently passed.  Her granddaughter, Emily, will be singing one of Sally’s favorite numbers.

You can count on the Rotary Chorus’ songs to inspire you and the popular Kids Chorus to enlighten you as well.  The skits will feature several familiar naturally funny Rotarians along with several newer members.  The show will conclude a little after 8:30 and you’ll likely still make it to bed by about 9!  This is a good time to start making plans to attend the Show with your friends.  All 60+ Rotarians have tickets to sell.  Look for Rotary Show signs at local businesses and at both banks in Perry and at Community Bank in Warsaw where tickets are on sale.  Adult tickets are only $10 and student tickets are $5.  For those who cannot make it to the show on Monday or Tuesday evening, they can come to the Sunday afternoon show at 2:30 on Nov 5.

Rotary counts on you, our community members, for your support and attendance.  Rotary also thanks its many program advertisers and patrons and many volunteers needed to make this show a success over its long history.

Mark your calendars and start planning with family and friends!  If you have any questions about the show, please contact Hans Kunze, Rotarian and publicity chair, via cell or text at 585-813-2676. Thank you!
